Pipes and tanks seem to transport the liquid from the interior to the exterior of the facility. Yellow liquid pools (presumably discarded testing liquids possibly put out for evaporation or polluted water) can be found at the southern end of the facility. There are also a few garages protected by access panels and parking spots for the employees. Machinery and pipes make up the exterior of the facility. The research labs contain a variety of different testing rooms and storage facilities for the chemicals. The work that the lab does is not disclosed to the public, with the media and the public believing they are simply a perfume factory. Further operations against the lab by the IAA to confiscate Railguns seem to indicate that Merryweather is acting alone or for some other organization. However, the raid on Humane Labs and Research lead by IAA employee Agent 14 seems to discredit Haines' claims as to Merryweather being contracted for the IAA. They are known to have created biological weapons, and, according to Steve Haines, the weapons were manufactured for the International Affairs Agency. A few years before the events of the game, the facility was leased to Merryweather Security, which was owned in part by Don Percival. It was formerly controlled by a pharmaceutical company owned by Maxim Rashkovsky and Dima Popov.
The Humane Labs and Research facility is located on Chianski Passage, deep in the San Chianski Mountain Range, Blaine County.
